Technical Buyer / Supply Chain Manager 60 70% (Specialization Prototyping/Small Series, Electronics, Mechanics, Optoelectronics) Environment and Job Description Our company is engaged, among other things, in the development, production, and distribution of high-quality, high-performance LED systems for professional and semi-professional applications. Our solutions are mostly based on modern, proprietary foundations. For prototyping, we need an experienced technical buyer who is familiar with the special requirements of prototyping purchasing (evaluations, working with specification sheets and requirement specifications) in an international environment. In addition to a solid technical understanding at the engineer MSc level, you also bring high commercial competence at the MBA/DBA level; i.e., you can work methodically and with few errors, create/manage complex project dossiers, correctly create commercial documents (inquiries, orders, RMA documents, transport damage reports, routing slips, etc.), apply Incoterms 2010, and assist in peripheral areas if needed (e.g., postal service, incoming goods inspection, parts lists/supply chain lists, intralogistics, production planning, labeling engineering, etc.). In case of uncertainties, you can ask targeted and focused questions. Tasks
- Sample requests and material/tool procurement according to parts lists and SpecSheets
- Inquiry runs with follow-up management and parts list transfers
- Evaluation and procurement of replacement materials for unusual and discontinued components
- Managing procurement dossiers; including filing and archiving
- Transferring parts list offers into parts lists and other production documents
- Assistance with peripheral tasks according to job description
- Completed engineering degree at Dipl.Ing, ETH/TU/MSc. or PhD level in electrical engineering.
- Interdisciplinary knowledge in mechanical engineering, physics, and chemistry.
- Component and terminology knowledge in electrical engineering, electronics, mechanics, chemistry, physics
- Further education in business administration at EMBA/MBA/DBA level with practical experience in commercial documents such as inquiries, offers, orders, order confirmations, RMA, and delivery notes.
- Confident handling of supplier-side webshop systems
- User knowledge in MS Office (including Visio Professional and Project), ERP systems, and professional, database-supported labeling programs and PBX systems with voicemail.
- Industry and SME experience is an advantage
- You are able to read and, if necessary, maintain meta documents, SpecSheets, drawings, parts lists, supply chain lists, and other purchasing and costing relevant documents.
- Experience with formal document management according to ISO-9001; including change processes
- Quick comprehension of complex contexts.
- Driver's license category B
