Service Owner / Monitoring & Observability Engineer (m/f/d) 100%

Behind the scenes and on stage, we do everything to ensure our customers can rely blindly on their IT. We continuously check our systems, look for possible weaknesses, and initiate improvements.

As a Service Owner, you take on an important role in the tension between hands-on and management tasks and are thus a key guarantor for a successful leadership team within the Infrastructure and Platforms executive area.

• You take responsibility for the operation and further development of the Monitoring Service
• You plan and control the service costs, including budgeting, forecasting, internal charging (service-to-service), and controlling
• You take care of license management in the Monitoring Service
• You create and maintain Service Level Agreements (SLAs) for internal and external customers and ensure their compliance
• You work closely with internal departments, external partners, and the IT organization, bringing together requirements, developments, and changes in a structured manner
• You are responsible for our Splunk environments. Designing, deploying, and maintaining clusters, indexers, and forwarders are part of your tasks
• You ensure the availability, scalability, and performance of the Splunk and Grafana environments
• You are responsible for dashboards, reports, and alerts to visualize trends and gain actionable insights

• Degree in Business Informatics, Computer Science, or Business Administration (FH/HF/FA) or a comparable qualification
• Experience in IT Service Management, Application Management, or a comparable role
• Interest and/or experience in financial management (budget responsibility, cost management, charging models)
• ITIL Foundation certification or willingness to obtain it
• Strong communication skills in German (spoken and written) and enjoyment in interacting with various stakeholders
• At least 3 years of professional experience in IT Monitoring and Observability
• Understanding of Splunk and Grafana architectures, administration, and management
• Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell
• Practical experience with large Splunk and Grafana environments in an enterprise setting
• Native German language skills in spoken and written form
