You enjoy working with elderly people and bring warmth and patience. In the Viererfeld, you will find a large, interdisciplinary team that provides inpatient care services for elderly people with varying care needs and some with dementia-related illnesses.
These are your tasks
- You ensure the well-being of our residents during the night and provide them with security, orientation and comfort
- You respond to individual needs and support our residents with nursing and care services within your competencies
- You observe changes in health status attentively and ensure a professional flow of information
- With your sense of responsibility and presence, you guarantee high-quality care and support even at night

- Completed training as an SRK nursing assistant
- Enjoyment in working with elderly people as well as strong social and service skills
- Independent, reliable and flexible working style
- Resilience and composure even in demanding situations
- Willingness to work night shifts in various wards
- Good oral and written German skills as well as understanding of Swiss German (dialect)

The Burgerspittel is the elderly institution of the Burgergemeinde Bern. At the locations "Viererfeld" and "Bahnhofplatz", the Burgerspittel offers suitable living arrangements for around 190 elderly people in a well-maintained environment. The offer is aimed at the entire population - membership of the Burgergemeinde is not a requirement. Around 200 employees are committed with great warmth and ensure a high quality of life for the residents with professional services in care, support, hospitality, administration and everyday activities.
