About the job
The Directorate for Security, Environment and Energy is committed to safety, protection and assistance, environmental protection, sustainable energy supply, and is responsible for building permit procedures as well as the Bern Zoo. The Office for Adult and Child Protection is the competence center of the city of Bern in the field of clarifications and guardianships.
Activities
- Manage guardianships in adult protection
- Professionally advise and support supervised persons including their social environment
- Seek sustainable solutions for clients in cooperation with authorities, institutions and other service providers
- Manage income and assets as well as assert social insurance claims
- Collaborate client-oriented with caseworkers
Profile
- Degree in social work or equivalent qualification
- Professional experience in the social sector, preferably in adult protection
- Knowledge of child and adult protection as well as social insurance systems
- High social, professional and advisory competence, high flexibility and willingness to find pragmatic solutions
- Networked working style, resilience, great organizational skills and very good communication skills
- Ability to work and plan independently
