The Office for the Enforcement of Sentences includes the departments of enforcement and probation services as well as prisons and the operation of the Kalchrain Measures Center.

The Cantonal Prison Frauenfeld is a concordat institution affiliated with the Eastern Swiss Concordat, has 56 detention places, and primarily serves the enforcement of pre-trial detention as well as short prison sentences for men and women. The Security and Coordination Center fulfills its mission within the framework of security-relevant basic services and works interdisciplinarily with the other areas of the prison.

For the position in the Security and Coordination Center of the Cantonal Prison, we are looking for a flexible personality starting March 2026 or by agreement as

This is your area of responsibility:

Monitoring of areas equipped with cameras, radio traffic, fire alarm system, and alarm systems
Identification of potential security risks or irregularities and immediate forwarding of incidents to internal and external authorities.
Documentation and reporting of incidents, system failures, or abnormalities
Support in conducting security checks and emergency procedures
Administrative tasks such as journal keeping, creating file notes related to events, etc.
You are also responsible for controlling incoming mail of inmates with letter censorship
In this very interesting, dynamic, and responsible position in a lively operation, you maintain telephone and written contact throughout Switzerland with referring authorities such as courts, police, public prosecutors, and migration authorities.
You work during daytime hours (no weekend/night shifts)

Your profile

The versatile and interesting position requires, in addition to an impeccable reputation, a 3- or 4-year completed vocational training with a federal certificate of competence and ideally solid knowledge and practical experience in the penal system. We are looking for a thoughtful, proactive, and team-oriented personality who wants to actively shape their area of activity. You are characterized by a very careful, efficient, and structured way of working and are reliable, mentally flexible, and very resilient. You have a pronounced ability to make quick decisions and adhere to prescribed procedures. You have a confident command of German and look forward to applying your good oral skills in French and English. You skillfully apply your IT user knowledge as well as your good technical understanding in handling/operating security systems. You have a positive attitude towards closed penal enforcement as well as integrity in dealing with people in the penal system, regardless of their offenses and cultures, and are discreet and reliable.
