About the job
As an electrician, you work on construction sites as well as in residential, commercial, and industrial buildings. You lay electrical cables, install switches, sockets, and lighting, and professionally connect devices and systems. You also check and maintain electrical systems and troubleshoot faults. Thanks to your training, you also work on modern installations such as networks, telecommunications, and control systems, ensuring that everything functions safely and reliably.
School and inter-company courses
You attend vocational school 1 to 2 days per week. The inter-company courses (üK) serve to practically learn, deepen, and practice the professional basics; you attend these for 48 days during your training.

- Completed secondary school of middle or upper level (9th grade)
- Good performance in the subjects of mathematics, geometry, English, and German
- Good physical resilience
- Manual dexterity and fine motor skills
- Logical and networked thinking
- Strong technical understanding
- Reliability, accuracy, and careful work
- Enjoy working in a team
- Good manners for contact with customers and colleagues
- No color vision deficiency to correctly distinguish wire colors
