Biology Teacher
Graubünden Cantonal School | 50–100 % | Chur
The Graubünden Cantonal School is an important educational institution with about 1,000 students in all three cantonal languages. As a section of the Office for Upper Secondary Education, it offers upper secondary school training programs at the high school with long and short education as well as at the specialized school, commercial secondary school, and computer science secondary school. As a Biology teacher, you will teach students at the high school and specialized school.
For our school, we are looking for a Biology teacher starting August 1, 2026.
Responsibilities
- Teaching Biology at the high school as well as at the specialized school. Depending on the workload, part-time employment may be possible in Italian or German only.
- Organizing and conducting project weeks, class events, and excursions in a team with other teachers
- Taking on various tasks within the team of teachers of the same subject
- Collaborating on development projects for the entire school
What we expect from you
- University degree in biology as well as a teaching diploma for maturity schools
- To teach in the cantonal languages German and Italian (one language as mother tongue, the other at level C2), a bilingual profile or monolingual with good knowledge of the other language is required
- Proven English skills at level C2 are an advantage and allow you to conduct immersive teaching in biology
- You are a flexible person, proactive, able to work in a team, and enjoy working with young people. We are also looking for a communicative person who takes responsibility and is happy to engage in school life
- Experience teaching at the upper secondary school level is an advantage
