Head Physiotherapist of the Department of Medicine
The Department of Medicine is looking for a head physiotherapist between 80% - 90% for a start date on April 1, 2026, or to be agreed upon.
Context
The Lausanne University Hospital (CHUV) is one of the 5 Swiss university hospitals. Thanks to its collaboration with the Faculty of Biology and Medicine of the University of Lausanne and EPFL, CHUV plays a leading role in medical care, medical research, and education.
The physiotherapists of the CHUV Department of Medicine mainly work in the medicine and geriatrics services of CHUV. The primary mission of our service is to care for patients suffering from multiple pathologies (co-morbidities), whose diagnosis and therapeutic strategy are often complex.
The therapeutic care covers all areas of cardio-respiratory, musculoskeletal, and neurological systems, with a specificity and expertise in cardio-respiratory therapies in non-invasive ventilation as well as complex functional therapies.
The Physiotherapy Service of Medicine covers services for internal medicine, pneumology, oncology, infectious diseases, palliative care, dermatology, acute geriatrics, and nephrology. The activity is mainly hospital-based, complemented by outpatient activity in our areas of specialization (senology, pneumology, endocrinology, gastroenterology...).
The CHUV geriatrics service provides clinical care for patients according to four axes: acute geriatrics, community-ambulatory geriatrics, preparation for long-term stay, and geriatric rehabilitation (at CUTR Sylvana).
The CUTR Sylvana accommodates 95 patients for post-acute geriatric rehabilitation.
The physiotherapy sector actively participates in the various development projects of these different services.
