Nurse in Hygiene, Prevention and Infection Control (HPCI) at 80%

Reference: CLS/RH/2025.687 / Contract type: Permanent contract at 80% / Hours: 8:30 am shifts during the week / Start date: as soon as we find the right person / Location: in the heart of Lausanne (M2 stop "Riponne" or Bus 2, 3 or 21 stop "Beaulieu-Jomini")
Why do we need you?
Due to the departure of our Junior Nurse in Hygiene, Prevention and Infection Control (HPCI), we are looking for someone who wishes to join the HPCI service of the Clinic on a long-term basis.
What will you be doing?
- Conduct epidemiological surveillance activities related to the service contract with Public Health, analyze the data, and communicate it to the relevant parties
- Observe care practices, particularly based on surveillance results, to identify areas for improvement and actively contribute to the reduction of nosocomial infections
- Supervise the application of Additional Measures, respond to service requests, and support teams in their daily implementation
- Conduct internal audits, particularly on hand hygiene, and participate in awareness and prevention campaigns
- Participate in the integration of new employees through training sessions on best practices in hospital hygiene
- Ensure coordination between HPCI responders from the services and the HPCI manager, promoting communication and coherence of actions
- Develop, update, and disseminate HPCI guidelines and technical sheets for team use
- Contribute to institutional dynamics by participating in cross-functional working groups related to infection prevention.
Who will you be working with?
The HPCI service of the La Source Clinic is composed of at least one responsible nurse Expert in the prevention of healthcare-associated infections (EPIAS) and an HPCI infectious disease physician. The spirit of the service is to maintain a pleasant atmosphere while meeting the HPCI needs of the Clinic. Collaboration and good humor are the watchwords of this service.In this position, you will report to Yasmine Besson. With over 10 years at the La Source Clinic, and 5 years of experience in acute care as a nurse and training practitioner, she has been the EPIAS manager of the service for 5 years. She will guide you in this new position and provide you with the necessary tools to thrive in this service.The essentials:
- Hold a nursing diploma or equivalent recognized by the Swiss Red Cross
- Have a good knowledge of acute care and the Swiss healthcare system
- Demonstrate autonomy, rigor, and a sense of responsibility
- Be dynamic, proactive, and a source of proposals
- Have a sense of communication, pedagogy, and negotiation
- Master common IT tools
Your assets:
- Junior diploma in Infection Prevention and Control (PCI)
- Experience in hospital hygiene, project management, or training healthcare professionals
- Knowledge of national references regarding infection prevention
- Ability to lead training sessions and unite around best practices.
