Senior Physician (Hypertensiology)
What you can achieve
- Supervision and own consultation activities in outpatient internal medicine clinics and specialist clinics, especially for hypertension, lipid disorders, and tobacco prevention, at a university level, as well as collaboration in the Hypertension Centre of the University Hospital Basel
- Care of outpatient patients in the day clinic, e.g. for infusions, transfusions, and punctures
- Supervision and evaluation of internal medicine diagnostics, including outpatient blood pressure measurements, spirometry, and nocturnal pulse oximetry
- Conducting and supervising sonographic examinations depending on level of knowledge desired
- Participation in clinically oriented scientific studies; contribution of own scientific ideas is welcome
- Active involvement in student teaching as well as in continuing education and training programmes and taking on organisational tasks of the clinic
What you bring with you
- Specialist title in General Internal Medicine or near completion; an additional specialist title or imminent completion, e.g. in Endocrinology, Nephrology, or Cardiology, is an advantage
- Clinical prior experience in outpatient internal medicine and emergency medicine
- Knowledge in hypertensiology and/or special interest in this field
- Knowledge in sonography is an advantage
- High team spirit and enjoyment of interprofessional and interdisciplinary collaboration
- Foreign language skills are advantageous due to the linguistic diversity of our patients
