For ourFinance Department within the Division "Buildings", we are looking for you as our new Commercial Project Manager (m/f/d). Your workplace will be our headquarters "Connect" in Opfikon as well as the construction site.
As a commercial project manager, you ensure that the projects you oversee are managed properly from a commercial perspective. This means you are responsible for the correct construction cost management in close coordination with the (technical) project manager and guarantee that the project evaluation and cash flow planning are accurate.
This is what you will do
- Review contracts regarding invoicing and payments, bank guarantees, insurances, changes, claims, and other financial and administrative matters
- Control of accounts receivable and claims management: initiate appropriate measures in case of non-payment
- Internal and external billing of services
- Monitoring, checking, and approval of supplier and subcontractor invoices
- Preparation of liquidity planning / cash forecast
- Preparation of forecasts as well as monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities
- Participation in reconciliation discussions
- Contributing to client change requests regarding commercial issues
- Ensuring that contracts are signed before work begins
- Validation of project budgets during the bidding phase and at project start
- Interface to financial accounting and business controlling
- Further development of commercial project management and participation in internal projects
What you bring
- Commercial training (university/technical college or other further education) with a technical flair or construction project experience, or technical training with corresponding commercial additional training
- Several years of professional experience in project business or in the construction industry
- Good knowledge of SAP and MS Office
- Team player with a high sense of responsibility, persistence, and assertiveness
- Independent, structured, and results-oriented working style
- Hands-on/communicative personality, negotiation skills
- Very good German and good English skills
