Clerk Aliment Support (limited for one year) 80 - 100%Good for life – that is our motto. As part of the Education Directorate of the Canton of Zurich, the Office for Youth and Career Counseling is responsible for the services in the field of child and youth welfare as well as career counseling. Children, adolescents, and families are at the center of our work.
Aliment support is part of the Office for Youth and Career Counseling and provides collection assistance as well as advance payments of maintenance contributions according to the Child and Youth Welfare Act.
We are looking for a committed and motivated person with experience in aliment support or a similar field, who would like to apply their broad expertise in the Canton of Zurich from April 1, 2026, to March 31, 2027.
Your tasks
- Representing maintenance beneficiaries in the corresponding procedures
- Claiming maintenance entitlements of children and spouses
- Processing applications for financial benefits
- Preparing applications for municipalities; enforcing decisions
- Handling payment transactions
- Preparing statements and reports for the financing municipalities
Your profile
- Completed commercial basic training EFZ with several years of professional experience in the field of alimony or similarly complex clerical work (e.g., debt collection office, social insurance, fiduciary, accounting, debt collection)
- Completed further training as an aliment specialist (or willingness to complete it)
- Good numerical understanding as well as precise and independent working style
- Very good communication skills and assertiveness
- Interest in legal issues (debt enforcement law, family law)
