Senior Specialist Regulatory Affairs (80-100%)
Ensure electricity in Switzerland
In this exciting position, you will be responsible for liaising with authorities and answering various questions in the area of regulatory management of Swissgrid. You will particularly take on the following tasks:
- Advising and supporting all business units on regulatory issues
- Acting as the coordination point Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for the regulatory authority EICom for grid infrastructure topics and the electronic reporting of grid operation and energy market data to ElCom
- Monitoring energy policy activities in Switzerland and the EU, analyzing energy policy initiatives, and developing positions for Swissgrid as well as supporting the communication of positions to the public and politics
- Participating in working groups and representing Swissgrid to the regulatory authority ElCom, authorities, and companies in the energy sector, as well as possibly at the European level
- Consultation management: Internal coordination and preparation of statements on legislative and regulatory revisions as well as on guidelines of the Swiss Electricity Companies Association (VSE).

For this position, we are looking for a reliable, adaptable, meticulous, and independent person with a proactive and team-oriented personality. You bring the following:
- University degree in law, economics, electrical engineering, or natural sciences
- Several years of national and international experience in the electricity sector
- Good knowledge of the regulatory framework for electricity in Switzerland; knowledge of the regulatory framework for electricity in the EU is an advantage
- Very good understanding of the interfaces between law and technology
- Ability to analyze and assess complex issues
- Ability to work in interdisciplinary teams
- Very good, negotiation-level, and stylistically confident German skills; good English and French skills are a plus

About us
The Regulatory Affairs team is part of the Legal, Regulatory & Compliance department of Swissgrid. We are a very broadly positioned and interdisciplinary team with a wide range of topics. We are service providers for the entire company and handle dossiers at the interface of law, technology, politics, and society. We are the point of contact for the regulator (ElCom) and other authorities. We work hand in hand with the other teams in the department.
