Development Engineer Mechanical Design 80-100%
We are looking for an ambitious development engineer for our team who develops mechanical components and systems and supervises our external service providers.
Together with our customers, we develop commercial vehicles in the field of electromobility.
Committed to sustainability, we shape electromobility with innovative drives, electric trucks, charging devices, and mobility concepts. The Designwerk team, consisting of around 200 employees, successfully brings sustainable commercial vehicles and its own products to the road.
Your Area of Responsibility
- Development of mechanical components and systems for the Designwerk product range, taking into account existing specifications and standards
- Carrying out mechanical designs and calculations (e.g., strength verifications, tolerance analyses, lifetime estimates)
- Verification of development results and creation of technical documents to secure design decisions (e.g., technical reports, decision bases, design reports, specifications)
- Supervision of external development service providers (CAD, FEM): compilation of work packages, ensuring communication during processing, acceptance and release of services
- Collaboration with the system technology and software development teams within the scope of project work
- Creation of FMEAs and design verification documents according to APQP in product development
- Creating and maintaining parts lists in the ERP system
Your Advantages
- Completed training as a draftsman with further training as a mechanical engineering technician HF or FH studies in mechanical engineering
- At least 5 years of professional experience in the automotive or commercial vehicle environment
- Experience with Solidworks and Solidworks PDM
- Independent and conscientious working style
