It brings together basic and clinical scientists: to improve the understanding of health and disease and to develop groundbreaking therapies that improve patients' lives. With 70 research groups and 800 employees, the DBM is the largest department of the university. We are represented at 6 locations in the heart of Basel. Become part of our future!??From August 2026 or by arrangement, the Anatomy division of the department is looking for a committed individual for all administrative tasks. The position is initially limited to one year with the option of permanent employment.
The Anatomy division of the DBM at the University of Basel has a long tradition and is a modern center for teaching and research. We offer a dynamic working environment where precision, team spirit, and respectful interaction with students, external clients, and within the team are highly valued. In the secretariat, you will work in a small two-person team at a central interface of Anatomy.

Your tasks
General administrative activities- Personal administrative assistance to the Chair of Anatomy (25%)
- General administrative tasks at DBM-Pestalozzistrasse (budget processing, invoice accounting, onboarding/offboarding of employees, ordering system, preparation/assistance with the annual financial statement for the management, website, etc.)
- Contact person for all employees of the house as well as external suppliers and students
Administration of cadaver affairs
- Consultation/first point of contact for questions about body donation
- Independent communication with relatives and/or body donors in German and French
- Organization of the collection of deceased/administration of deaths
- Organization of the annual memorial service
Teaching administration
- Administrative support for the teachers of Anatomy
- Course organization (registration/group assignments)
- Administrative support for external courses
Your profile
- Commercial basic training
- Solid MS Office/SAP skills
- German, English, and French spoken and written
- Empathetic, respectful, and friendly manners
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to act and communicate appropriately in difficult and challenging situations
