The Advisory & Coaching Center (StS) of the Department of Student Services (StS) , affiliated with the Rector of ETH Zurich, offers a wide range of advisory services and many different support offers for prospective students and students.
We are looking for a group leader from 01.01.2026 or by arrangement with the target groups prospective students and bachelor students.
The group for prospective students and bachelor students consists of a total of six employees and offers coaching and advisory services on topics such as study choice, self-management, stress management, dealing with exam failure, learning, and other study-related issues. In addition, the group is responsible for organizing events, workshops, as well as participating in study orientation events and other events at the bachelor level.
Job Description
- Professional and personnel management of five advisors and coaches
- Conducting individual coaching and advisory sessions in German and English
- Moderation of workshops, training sessions, and events on study-related topics
- Planning and operational management of the workshop and event offerings as well as coordination with internal ETH units
- Evaluation and further development of existing offers
- Participation in rectorate projects and support of the department management (e.g., PAKETH)

Profile
- Completed university degree (Master's degree)
- Further training in counseling or coaching (e.g., CAS); preferably with a focus on solution-oriented or systemic short-term coaching or study and career counseling
- Several years of counseling experience with young adults or students
- At least 2 years of leadership experience (at least 3 employees)
- Experience in moderating workshops and presenting at events
- German at native speaker level (C2) and very good English skills (spoken and written)
- Very good IT user skills (MS Office)
- Good knowledge of the Swiss higher education landscape
As a leader and counselor, you also have very good empathy, pronounced psychological resilience, as well as a high degree of self-organization and assertiveness.
