About the job
Do you want to put your social skills at the service of the community? The Municipality of Marly is looking for a committed social assistant to support its population and strengthen its local social action.
Your missions
The holder of the position ensures the reception, information, advice, and orientation of people residing in the municipality and using the Social Service, ensuring appropriate care adapted to their situation. He/she applies the Social Assistance Act (LASoc) and its implementing regulations, respecting the legal framework, the directives of the Social Action Service, and the decisions of the Social Commission, guaranteeing a fair, compliant, and individualized application of benefits. In this context, he/she assesses situations of social distress, indigence, allocates coverage of basic needs, and ensures respect for the principle of subsidiarity.
Your profile
a) Training and experience
- HES, university training in social work or equivalent training, with several years of experience;
- Knowledge and experience of the Social Assistance Act (LASoc);
- Good knowledge of various social insurances (disability insurance, unemployment, APG, etc.) and their interrelations;
- Good knowledge of the network of social institutions and social partners in Fribourg;
- Good knowledge of the cantonal integration system and its providers;
- Ease in using common IT tools and the KISS professional program;
- Good knowledge of German or a foreign language would be an asset;

- Sense of collaboration, negotiation, and teamwork
- Ease in human contacts
- Interest in issues related to social work and social policy
- Administrative and writing skills
- Analytical skills and synthesis ability
- Sense of organization and planning
