ICT System Engineer 100%The Secondary School and Vocational Education Office (MBA) is the competence and service center for vocational education, grammar schools, higher vocational education, and continuing education in the canton of Zurich. We support and supervise secondary schools, vocational schools, providers of preparatory vocational years, and training companies.
The Digital Service Center Sek II provides services in this environment to support administrative and pedagogical-didactic processes for around 60,000 users in over 40 cantonal schools.
We are looking for an employee in the area of Service Delivery Management as an ICT System Engineer with a 100% workload, limited until the end of June 2029, starting immediately or by arrangement.
Your area of responsibility
In your future area of responsibility, you will ensure the stable operation as well as the maintenance and further development of our existing ICT infrastructure. You actively participate in daily business and take on tasks in 2nd and 3rd level support as well as in the efficient processing of service requests. In doing so, you coordinate external service providers and suppliers and, together with internal specialist teams and the areas of the Digital Service Center SEK II and the Office for Informatics, ensure high service quality and efficiency. You also analyze existing IT systems and processes and contribute your ideas for continuous optimization. You actively support the transfer of services into basic ICT supply, create and maintain system documentation, and participate in projects.
Your profile
For this position, you have a degree as an IT specialist EFZ (specializing in platform development, formerly system technology). Ideally, you have further training, for example as a certified technician HF or with certifications such as ITIL or Hermes. You bring several years of professional experience in the Microsoft environment, especially in the areas of Windows Server and Active Directory. Knowledge of Citrix is an advantage.
You work in a structured and analytical manner and keep an overview even in a dynamic and constantly changing educational environment. A pronounced service and customer orientation characterizes you as well as your ability to work in a team and your organizational and communication strengths. In addition, you are familiar with complex system environments. Knowledge of processes in the education sector is a plus.
