The Department of Public Education, together with schools and municipalities, is committed to a strong public school system in the canton of Zurich.
For the Teaching Issues sector, we are looking for an educational specialist as of January 1, 2026, or by agreement, who will actively help shape the secondary school of today and tomorrow.
Your area of responsibility
- You take responsibility for educational topics related to secondary school.
- You accompany the transition from primary to secondary school as well as the transitions to vocational training and upper secondary schools.
- You are the first point of contact when it comes to assessments or report cards.
- You prepare decision-making bases and statements, initiate developments, develop concepts, and accompany their implementation – always in close exchange with internal and external partners.
- You lead the office for the secondary school diploma for adults and thus build bridges for all those who wish to continue their education.
Your profile
- You are an open and proactive personality with a university degree and training as a teacher – ideally with teaching experience at the secondary school level.
- You have the necessary sensitivity to handle educational issues in a political environment and ideally have experience in administration. You are familiar with the Zurich school system.
- You work analytically and structured and can communicate complex content clearly and understandably.
- You gladly take on responsibility without losing sight of the team spirit.
- You are confident in the digital world and open to new developments.
