Deputy Cantonal Pharmacist
Health Department | 60% | Chur
We are looking for a deputy to the Cantonal Pharmacist for the Health Department of Graubünden starting February 1, 2026, or by arrangement.
Your area of responsibility
- You represent and support the Cantonal Pharmacist in all tasks.
- You advise the Health Department on medicinal product matters and act as a liaison between professional associations and the Health Department. You answer technical inquiries about medicinal products and pharmaceutical topics clearly, competently, and appropriately for the target audience.
- You independently process applications for operating licenses of medicinal product businesses (pharmacies, drugstores, private pharmacies of doctors, dentists, as well as hospitals and clinics) and for professional practice licenses of pharmacists and druggists, ensuring their approval.
- You conduct basic and specific inspections in medicinal product businesses, monitor the handling of narcotics, and take on additional tasks in the area of market surveillance.
- You record and assess pharmaceutical home specialties and their production according to Good Manufacturing Practice rules.
- In case of crisis, you collaborate with the responsible authorities to ensure pharmaceutical supply.
What we expect from you
- You have a university degree as a pharmacist (Swiss state examination / recognized diploma).
- Your several years of professional experience preferably include activities in hospital pharmacies, the pharmaceutical industry, or administration.
- Your strong understanding of legal and administrative issues helps you grasp complex contexts and act in a solution-oriented manner.
- You are a team- and service-oriented person, can work independently, and have good presentation and social skills.
- You are confident and skilled in written expression and have very good IT knowledge.
- Ideally, you know the canton of Graubünden and master several cantonal languages.
