About the job
The Child and Adult Protection Authority KESB is responsible for ensuring the protection of adults and children. The audit office reviews inventories, reports, and accounts of guardians and handles complex cases with a focus on inheritance law, finance, property, and social insurance law.
As of February 1, 2026, or by agreement, we are looking for a
Your tasks
- Independent legal clarifications of facts in child and adult protection proceedings (in particular, review of transactions requiring consent according to Art. 416 ZGB and other proceedings focusing on inheritance law, finance, property sales, property, and social insurance law);
- independent conduct of hearings if necessary
- Preparation of reasoned decisions for the authority
- Taking minutes with an advisory vote at the authority meeting
- Clarification of legal questions for the audit department
- Providing information on audit-related topics of child and adult protection (in writing, by phone, and at the counter)
- Participation in the development of information sheets and other aids for the audit department
Your profile
- University degree (lic. iur. or MLaw) in law, lawyer's license advantageous
- Several years of administrative experience and/or experience in civil procedural and administrative law proceedings
- Experience in handling inheritance law issues and child and adult protection law
- Independent, responsible, precise, and pragmatic working style
- Confident in oral and written expression
- Resilience, flexibility, and ability to work in a team
- Ability to collaborate appreciatively, constructively critically, and solution-oriented with guardians, external agencies, and within KESB
- Interest in social issues and empathy towards people in difficult life situations
