Project Management «Copilot» 75%
The "Copilot" project strengthens parental educational competence and promotes dialogue between parents and school. It is aimed at parents of (pre-)school children, especially from socially disadvantaged families. "Copilot" supports them with questions about school, leisure, and early childhood development.
In mentoring, volunteers accompany parents individually over a longer period through their children's school routine. In addition, "Copilot" offers weekly info cafés with intercultural mediators at three locations in the city of Zurich. Here, parents can get information on school-related topics in various languages and network with other parents and professionals in the neighborhood.
For this project, we are looking for a project manager «Copilot» (75%).
- Responsibility for the operational implementation and further development of the project
- Recruitment and introduction of volunteers and participating families into mentoring as well as of intercultural mediators for the info café
- Professional support of the mentoring tandems, home visits for initial, location, and final meetings
- Planning and execution of the weekly Copilot info cafés as well as other events and training sessions
- Personnel management of one employee
- Responsibility for results and budget
- Project documentation, evaluation, and controlling
- Participation in fundraising
- Public relations work as well as networking with schools and relevant stakeholders
You are very familiar with the school system and the social landscape of the city of Zurich and want to commit yourself to more equal opportunities in education. In addition, you bring the following:
- University degree in education (kindergarten or primary level), social or educational sciences, social work, or a related field
- Experience in project and volunteer management, ideally also in personnel management
- Knowledge in the area of "early childhood"
- High social and transcultural competence
- Good verbal and written communication skills in German, knowledge of other languages is an advantage
- Calmness and flexibility in dynamic situations
- Commitment and joy in advancing and further developing the offer with quality awareness
