Head of Facility Management, Reception & Administration (immediate) 60%Correctional Services and Reintegration (JuWe) is part of the Directorate of Justice and the Interior of the Canton of Zurich and is responsible for penal and measure enforcement as well as the implementation of various types of detention. For our 1,400 employees from around 40 professions, the successful social reintegration of offenders, the prevention of recidivism, and the detention and preparation of the departure of persons without a valid residence permit are of particular importance.
A professional operation is no coincidence but the result of clear orientation, effective processes, and a lived service culture. In the Facility Management, Reception & Administration department (within the Finance, Controlling and Logistics division - FCL), you take overall responsibility for central services at the administrative building location Hohlstrasse 552. Together with your team, you ensure that infrastructure, reception, administration, logistics, and support function efficiently, service-oriented, and reliably.
You work strategically as well as operationally and further develop structures, processes, and standards. In doing so, you ensure that quality, cost-effectiveness, and safety are tangible and effective in everyday operations.
Your area of responsibility
- You take strategic and operational overall responsibility for the Facility Management, Reception & Administration team (3 people) and ensure an efficient, service-oriented daily operation at the administrative building location Hohlstrasse 552
- You lead and coordinate the central services (Facility Management, Reception, Administration, Logistics, Security, Support) and further develop a needs-based service portfolio in close cooperation with relevant stakeholders
- You are responsible for the professional contact point for external stakeholders and ensure a safe, de-escalating, and solution-oriented approach
- You ensure property management (operation and maintenance) in cooperation with cantonal authorities and external partners
- You ensure efficient processes, targeted digitization, systematic quality assurance, and compliance with safety, procurement, and budget requirements
- You lead projects within your area of responsibility and actively participate in cross-departmental initiatives
Your profile
- Higher professional education (HF/FH) in Facility Management, Business Administration, Public Management, or comparable, ideally supplemented by leadership training
- Several years of experience in a service-oriented environment with responsibility for planning, operations, budget, and development; leadership experience is an advantage
- Solid knowledge in Facility Management, property management, as well as process and quality management
- Experience in resource management, controlling, and dealing with procurement guidelines
- High social competence, pronounced conflict and de-escalation skills, resilience, and assertiveness
- Structured, solution-oriented working style and confident communication in German (spoken and written)
