Summary of responsibilities:
Reporting to the Supervisor of Funky Claude's Bar, the essential responsibilities and functions of the position include, but are not limited to:
- Consistently providing professional, friendly, and engaging service
- Serving guests according to their expectations and Fairmont standards
- Being responsible for the proper execution of setups and preparation of your area
- Serving drink and food orders at the table
- Knowing perfectly the drinks, cocktails, whisky, and wine menu and suggesting to the guest
- Knowing perfectly the food menu and advising the guest
- Preparing cutlery according to orders, fetching food from the kitchen, and clearing tables in your area
- Participating in creating the Funky atmosphere at the Bar
- Participating in themed evenings and contributing to the entertainment
- Building customer relationships
- Perfecting technical and theoretical knowledge to ensure perfect service for a demanding clientele
- Knowing and applying LQA technical and emotional standards
- Knowing the Funky Claude’s Bar concept
- Using the "Silverware" cash register system and placing drink and food orders
- Ensuring opening and closing tasks of the bar alternately with colleagues
- Communicating problems or anomalies to the supervisor
- Participating in training offered in the restaurant sector
- Participating in banquet and event service held at the hotel, upon request
- Committing to the quality of your service, discretion, and perfect honesty
- Maintaining a professional attitude, smiling, and staying calm at all times
- Being flexible and cooperative in all circumstances, especially if required to work occasionally in another department
- Respecting ergonomic work standards, health & safety rules, hygiene, and sanitary prescriptions
- Respecting the policies, procedures, and service standards of the department and company
- Any other tasks as assigned
- Minimum 6 months experience in bar/restaurant service
- Previous experience in a 4* or 5* hotel is an asset
- Fluency in French
- Excellent knowledge of English
- Recognized diploma in service is an asset
- Knowledge of cocktails is an asset
- Knowledge of the Silverware system is an asset
- Competitive spirit for sales
- Knowledge of a third language is an asset
- Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work at night
- Ability to work in a team
- Ability to focus on customer needs while remaining calm and courteous at all times

VISA REQUIREMENTS
To work in Switzerland, the candidate must hold a Swiss work permit or be from an EU – 17 or EU -8 European country.
