Tasks
Together with the second team leader of School Sehen Plus, you lead a committed team and ensure that the school day runs smoothly – from deployment planning to organizing substitutes. You are personnel and professionally responsible for the four upper secondary classes of the Sehen Plus area and for the lunch supervision. Your leadership tasks include, among other things, recruiting new employees and their further development.
Together with the teachers, you design support tailored to the individual needs of the students. In this final school phase, you jointly ensure the quality and implementation of transition management. You also strengthen cooperation with other areas of our school – such as the School Sehen, the residential groups, or therapies.
Your versatile daily work also includes administrative leadership tasks, quality assurance, the further development of our school, as well as regular exchange with parents, specialist offices, and authorities.
Requirements
You have a pedagogical education at tertiary level – for example, in curative or special education. In addition, you have completed leadership training or are motivated to pursue further training accordingly. Thanks to your experience in school and teaching everyday life, preferably in the special education field, you have a good sense of the requirements of a diverse educational environment.
In your role as a leader, you communicate clearly, openly, and appreciatively. You organize in a structured manner, have an administrative flair, think networked, and keep a cool head even under high pressure. You conduct negotiations with various stakeholders with sensitivity and goal orientation. Your high social competence, confident appearance, and authentic manner make you a valued contact person for your team, the students, their parents, and other internal and external contacts.
We Offer
In your role, you take on a lot of responsibility and receive the corresponding scope for design. You are part of a professional and humorous school management team that supports each other and learns from one another. A respectful leadership culture is important to us. Therefore, we try to live according to our leadership principles in everyday life, regularly discuss them, and continuously develop ourselves in leadership. Our employment conditions, based on cantonal framework conditions, are attractive. Learn more about this on our website (www.blindenschule.ch).
