The employees of the Civil Engineering Department ensure user-oriented management of roads, green spaces, forests, waters, water supply, sewerage, and waste disposal. To complement our team, we are looking for a
YOUR TASKS IN THIS POSITION ARE:
- Operating and driving the electric compact sweepers
- Cleaning the entire road and path network in the city area
- Maintenance and care of the assigned vehicle
- Maintenance work and operational upkeep of the road and path network
- Setting up temporary and permanent signage
- Maintenance of public waste containers, cleaning public spaces, as well as weekend deployments
- Structural and operational maintenance on and in waters
- Repair work on the sewer network
- Assistance in the main collection point
- Implementation of occupational safety and health protection measures
- Performing tasks in winter service, during storms, and at cultural events (also outside regular working hours and on weekends)
- Providing on-call service
YOUR PROFILE FITS PERFECTLY IF YOU:
- Have experience handling sweepers
- Are mandatorily in possession of a category B and BE driving license.
- Have a flair for machines and mechanics.
- Preferably have completed vocational training as a maintenance specialist, gardener (specializing in garden and landscape construction EFZ), road builder EFZ, or comparable, and ideally have already gained some professional experience.
- Appreciate an independent and quality-conscious working style.
- Are fluent in German, both spoken and written.
- Have good manners to build a good rapport with internal and external customers.
- Can be at the workplace within 20 minutes for winter service deployments.
- Enjoy digitalization and its application.
