The Corporate Banking Department of ICBC Zurich Branch manages relationships with large corporations, providing tailored solutions in financing, risk management, cash management, and investments. Leveraging ICBC's global presence (over 40 countries), we deliver dedicated support through experienced Relationship Managers.
Your Role
As an Assistant Relationship Manager, you will support the team in managing corporate clients in Switzerland. Tasks are related to business development, identification of opportunities and relationship building; preparation of business documentations such as pitch books and information memorandums; advanced financial analysis incl. business plans, valuations and transaction structuring; transaction execution tasks e.g. initiation of due diligence processes, client and counter-party management; project management and post-invest management.
Key Responsibilities
- Risk Monitoring & KYC Compliance: Conduct regular portfolio risk reviews under RM supervision;
- Perform KYC (Know Your Client) checks and client due diligence per Swiss Banking Act;
- Documentation Support: Prepare credit applications and presentation materials (pitch books, proposals) under RM guidance;
- Maintain client databases and update opportunity pipelines;
- Transaction Assistance: Coordinate with Legal/Risk/Operations teams on loan/trade finance execution;
- Monitor post-transaction compliance (covenants, AML checks)
- Client Service: Serve as secondary contact for client inquiries (transaction status, account services);
- Assist Relationship Managers in basic client needs analysis;
- Policy Implementation: Support enforcement of internal policies and cross-department projects.

Your Profile
- Education: Apprenticeship (EFZ) with vocational baccalaureate or Bachelor's in Finance, Economics or related field;
- Experience: 1–2 years in banking (corporate banking, credit analysis or internships);
- Technical Skills: Basic understanding of credit risk assessment;
- Knowledge of Swiss banking regulations;
- CFA/FRM/ACCA certifications are beneficial;
- Compliance Focus: Foundational KYC/AML knowledge;
- Soft Skills: Strong organizational abilities with task prioritization;
- Team player with excellent English communication (written/spoken), German or Chinese skills advantageous but not required.
