Doctors' Secretary at the Oncology Department
We are looking for a secretary assistant to the doctors for the Oncology Department.
Context
The Lausanne University Hospital (CHUV) is one of the 5 Swiss university hospitals. Thanks to its collaboration with the Faculty of Biology and Medicine of the University of Lausanne and EPFL, CHUV plays a leading role in medical care, medical research, and education.
The Coordinated Oncology Center (CCO) of the UNIL-CHUV Oncology Department (DO) works in the care of oncology patients and allows them to meet their referring physician for consultations and outpatient treatments, such as chemotherapy or immunotherapy. The CCO is composed of a team of highly qualified professionals from different disciplines and collaborates very closely, demonstrating exemplary commitment and extraordinary dedication to the cause of cancer. The administrative sector acts as a strategic partner in patient care and clinical activities and provides the administrative skills required for the smooth operation of the platform. Mission
- A true hub in organizing consultations for several specialties, you manage the schedules of senior physicians and assistant doctors, organize all patient appointments and treatments, and conduct searches for medical documents
- Essential to the smooth functioning of the structure, you are the reference person for welcoming and assisting patients and their relatives, manage patient flow in the waiting room, accompany patients in their care pathway, participate in providing information, and answer their questions by phone
- In direct contact with all partners involved in patient care, you organize various internal and external examinations and ensure administrative follow-up in connection with other CHUV services
- You organize and prepare the scheduling of consultations for new cases and offer personalized reception with attentive listening and tailored advice
- You collaborate closely with members of the interdisciplinary team and attend various meetings.
Profile
- You hold a Federal VET Diploma as a commercial employee, a diploma as a medical assistant, medical secretary, or an equivalent qualification and have experience in a large organization. Experience in a hospital environment, healthcare, health insurance, or the pharmaceutical sector is an asset
- You enjoy working autonomously while having a developed team spirit. You are dynamic, conscientious, versatile, with a keen sense of organization
- You are comfortable communicating, attentive, and empathetic
- Very good command of common computer tools (Office suite) and French is required. Knowledge of English is an asset
- This position would suit someone who enjoys working in a multidisciplinary and very dynamic environment where managing emergencies, stress, and versatility are essential.
