About the job
Teufen is an attractive municipality in the Appenzell midlands with around 6,500 inhabitants and borders directly on the city of St. Gallen. The Teufen school is a lively and versatile place of learning and has a long-standing, successful practice with the integrative school form. Around 700 students attend classes in the public school offerings of kindergarten, primary level, and lower secondary level.
At the beginning of the 2026/27 school year, we are looking for a
As a class teacher, you are responsible for a 6th grade class in the Landhaus school building. In cycle 2, we run the year groups on a two-year rotation. The Landhaus team works closely together and is open to new projects. At pedagogical meetings, the implementation of shared attitudes is discussed. The class team with the team-teaching teacher and the special education teacher is experienced, flexible, and supportive. Once a week, learning takes place for 2 lessons in mixed-age groups.
Your profile
You bring enthusiasm for versatile teaching and are motivated to meet the diversity of children in our integrative school in a supportive and challenging way. Clear, appreciative class management is important to you. You look forward to cooperative collaboration in the class team and with the special education teacher. Experience in 5th / 6th grade is an advantage. If desired, you can also apply as a pair to take over the position in job sharing.
