Medical secretary for the Rheumatology Service of the DAL
The Rheumatology Service of the Department of the Locomotor System (DAL) is looking for a motivated medical secretary to complete its team, with a workload between 80% and 100%.
The starting date is to be agreed upon.
Context
The Lausanne University Hospital (CHUV) is one of the five Swiss university hospitals. Thanks to its collaboration with the Faculty of Biology and Medicine of the University of Lausanne and EPFL, it plays a leading role in the fields of care, medical research, and training.
The Department of the Locomotor System (DAL) is one of the 13 clinical and medico-technical departments of the CHUV. It includes:
- the orthopedics and traumatology, rheumatology, and plastic and reconstructive hand surgery services,
- a division of physical medicine and rehabilitation,
- a physiotherapy service and a chiropractic unit,
- as well as several specialized centers (sports medicine, hand center, burn center and regenerative therapy unit, foot center, bone diseases center).
The rheumatology service manages joint, vertebral, and bone pathologies, in particular:
- degenerative joint diseases,
- inflammatory conditions,
- osteoporosis and bone diseases via the Bone Diseases Center (CMO).
Mission
- You ensure the reception and handling of telephone calls from patients, their relatives, visitors, and collaborators, adapting your communication to each situation
- You manage and follow up the patients' administrative files
- You type consultation reports and discharge letters
- You provide administrative support for the smooth running of the service
- You participate in the logistical management of office equipment.
Profile
- You hold a Federal VET Diploma as a commercial employee or an equivalent qualification (required)
- You have a medical secretary diploma (desired)
- You have about 3 years of experience in a similar position
- You are a dynamic, flexible, punctual, smiling, friendly, and respectful collaborator
- You demonstrate a sense of responsibility, good prioritization skills, proactivity, and organizational abilities
- You have excellent stress resistance and a team spirit
- You show empathy, active listening, and availability
- You master French perfectly, with excellent spelling, and are comfortable with typing
- You have very good command of office tools (Microsoft Office suite)
- You know the specific tools of the CHUV (an asset)
