services for the public. On behalf of the Health, Social and Integration Directorate (GSI) of the
Canton of Bern, we are responsible for the strategic planning and provision of measures for the social and professional integration of long-term unemployed persons.
The bicycle workshop in Burgdorf offers comprehensive services around bicycles. The workshop is divided into two parts. In the customer workshop, bicycles are cleaned and repaired. At the customer's request, we assemble individual
bicycles and sell e-cargo bikes. The bicycle workshop also maintains the company's own bicycle fleet for the home delivery service.
In the participant workshop, used bicycles from workshops and private individuals are accepted. 12 to
16 program participants receive an integration perspective in the bicycle workshop by dismantling old bicycles and reassembling them for second-hand sale under agogic guidance.
The customer workshop and the participant workshop will be spatially reorganized and expanded in winter 2025/26. The workshop part
We are looking in Burgdorf from October 1 or by arrangement for a
bicycle mechanic and head of the agogic workshop, 70-90%
Your tasks are
Carrying out customer orders (service and maintenance work)
Guiding participants in the agogic workshop
Consulting and selling bicycles and accessories
Inventory management
Cash register management
Assisting with the agogic guidance of participants
Contributing to the further development of the bicycle workshop
Your profile
You have completed vocational training as a bicycle mechanic and have solid experience in
the field of bicycle mechanics including e-bikes. Training and experience as a vocational trainer. With your communicative
manner and enthusiasm for bicycles and their technology, you skillfully advise our customers and independently carry out
orders. You enjoy working with a wide variety of people, keep a cool head during peak times, have an independent working style, and are flexible in terms of time (including Saturdays).
