Presentation
The Culture and Scientific Mediation Service (SCMS) aims to share academic knowledge with the general public, stimulate reflection, and encourage dialogue with citizens. Through various cultural and scientific mediation programs led by L’éprouvette (the Science and Society Laboratory of UNIL) and La Grange (the Arts and Sciences Center of UNIL), it contributes to the development and enrichment of the scientific, cultural, and artistic life of the region.

Social Media Manager
Job Information
• Start date: July 1, 2026 or to be agreed | Work rate: 60%
• Fixed-term contract (CDD) of one year (renewable)
You will implement the digital communication strategy on social media and be responsible for creating textual and audiovisual content and managing social media for La Grange and L’éprouvette, as well as promoting UNIL’s cultural activities.
Your Main Missions
• Participate in defining the service’s digital communication strategy for social media and translate it into concrete actions adapted to different platforms;
• Propose and implement digital actions aimed at strengthening the presence, visibility, and reputation of the service’s activities;
• Provide your technical expertise regarding formats, algorithms, usage, and best practices of social media;
• Ensure regular monitoring of digital tools, uses, and trends;
• Design, produce, and adapt visual and audiovisual content: photos, videos, stories, reels, interviews, narrative formats, "behind the scenes" content, etc.;
• Guarantee editorial, visual, and narrative coherence of all published content;
• Cover certain events live (stories, live streams, quick recordings);
• Plan, schedule, and publish posts according to the editorial calendar established with communication officers;
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders;
• Develop, animate, and build loyalty among online communities; respond to messages and comments and encourage interactions;
• Analyze performance, monitor, prepare reports, and make recommendations to optimize visibility and effectiveness of content on social media.

Profile Sought
• University or HES degree in communication, digital marketing, audiovisual or equivalent qualification;
• 2 to 3 years of experience in digital communication as well as video capture and editing, ideally in cultural or academic environments;
• Excellent mastery of social media, associated tools, and sector trends;
• Proficiency in IT tools: Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, video editing software, common office tools;
• Excellent writing skills in French, perfect spelling mastery;
• Organizational skills, analysis, synthesis, creativity, and flexibility;
• Ease in interpersonal relations, ability to collaborate in a team;
• Good knowledge of academic and/or cultural environments, ability to work in a highly interdisciplinary environment.
