Located in the Vevey region, between town and
countryside, the Cité du Genévrier welcomes adults with disabilities due to
intellectual disabilities. A multidisciplinary
and multi-site structure, it offers the people it welcomes a particularly harmonious living and
working environment as well as a set of skills
adapted to the needs and aspirations of each individual.
Integrated into the Eben-Hézer Foundation, the Cité du Genévrier is the custodian of the moral testament of its founder, Sister Julie Hofmann. It thus considers the happiness of the people it welcomes as the ultimate goal of its action.
Mission
The "Le Lilas" Group is a living space welcoming 4 adults with autism spectrum disorders associated with moderate to severe intellectual disability. The group offers individualized and evolving support based on the resident's needs. On a daily basis, the educator focuses on predictability work allowing the development and maintenance of skills through structuring and adapting the environment. The support develops through proximity work, alternating individual and group time. The team's wish is that each resident can be fully integrated at the heart of their life project. In daily life, particular attention is given to nurturing the physical, psychological, cultural, social, and gustatory well-being of the people welcomed.
The educator at Lilas:
Accompanies the person in their daily life in an individualized way
Has the ability to produce professional written reports, communicate and report on their work
Encourages autonomy, the notion of choice, and self-determination
Supports receptive and expressive communication
Relies on practices such as the ABA method, the TEACCH approach, PECS
Is involved in group activities: gym, cooking workshop, plant room, creative and artistic room, outings outside

Desired profile
Holding a diploma as an ES or HES educator
Having experience in the field of intellectual disability and/or ASD
Being comfortable working and communicating in a team
Having experience in implementing life projects and adapted protocols
Being dynamic, proactive, and motivated
Knowing how to listen but also how to take a stand
Questioning one’s practice with an evolving perspective
You master common computer tools, have a driving license, and are willing to work irregular hours including weekends.

Within the framework of this permanent contract, you will benefit from an interesting and varied internal training program, as well as the social conditions and benefits of the collective labor agreement of the Vaud parapublic social sector, with 8 weeks of vacation, 9 weeks from the age of 50.
Start date: immediately or to be agreed, activity rate between 70% and 100%
