The Electrical Energy Department operates hydraulic and thermal production infrastructures, develops production facilities from renewable energies, and ensures electricity supply under the best conditions.
Mission:
- Define, propose, and lead the energy supply strategy in the short, medium, and long term, ensuring supply security, coherence between forecasts and needs, as well as monitoring performance and financial results
- Plan, coordinate, and supervise short- and long-term management activities, manage supply, consumption, and production portfolios, anticipate and control risks related to energy markets, in close collaboration with the Risk Manager and the Energy Risk Committee
- Optimize the valorization of energy from production means (own and participations), analyze participation projects, ensure optimization and sustainability of supply contracts (electricity, gas, CO₂)
- Develop and promote services related to energy markets, contribute to the development of customer offers in the open market, and ensure overall coherence between commercial strategy, trading, and energy management
- Represent the management and the Group with partners and strategic projects, lead cross-functional projects (trading, IT, operations, information systems)
Profile:
- Degree in engineering from a University of Applied Sciences / ETH in electricity, mechanics, physics, or mathematics, or equivalent training, complemented by a solid understanding of energy markets
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience in a position of responsibility, with confirmed management experience in energy management and/or commodity trading
- Excellent knowledge of the energy market, derivatives, and the electricity stock market, as well as good financial skills, including risk management, valuation, and reporting
- Good knowledge of real-time plant operation, hydrology, IT tools (MS Office, databases, ETRM, calculation tools) and strong project management and team leadership skills
- Native French or German speaker with very good knowledge of the other language and English, endowed with strong analytical skills, strategic and decision-making mindset, negotiation talents, leadership, and stress resistance
