About the job

What you will do here

Teach students of the Master’s program Specialized Performance Opera in the subject of acting, performance training, and support them in their artistic development
Design the lessons with proven acting-artistic expertise in acting, directing, or assistant directing and further develop them in close collaboration with artistic teams
As part of a modern art university, promote the next generation and actively contribute to research fields and reflection contexts in music theatre
Represent the subject of acting in weekly face-to-face lessons as well as in program-specific committees and help shape its content development
Depending on qualifications, take on additional planning and coordination tasks in the overall program, with additional percentage positions

What you ideally bring with you

Successfully completed university degree with high artistic qualification as well as pedagogical-didactic experience at university level
The ability to classify and convey the subject of acting within current artistic and theoretical discourses of music theatre
Confident handling of different teaching and learning methods, openness to digital teaching tools, and interest in research questions
Teaching languages: English, German, and French. Team spirit, initiative, and joy in further developing the program
Interview date: 19.12.25 in Biel. Please include a didactic concept for acting/performance training lessons (max. two pages)
