The opportunity
Our Grid Integration – GPQSS (AC system integration business) is seeking a global Marketing and Sales Leader to shape, accelerate, and execute our worldwide commercial strategy. This senior strategic role requires an accomplished sales executive capable of driving profitable growth, strengthening our market presence, and leading high‑performing global teams within a complex matrix organization. As the Executive Sales & Marketing Manager, you will own the long‑term commercial strategy and its operational execution for the Global Product Group, setting the global sales vision and targets while ensuring effective deployment across countries and segments. You will be responsible for delivering ambitious growth, margin, and market‑expansion objectives in alignment with the Business Unit’s Marketing & Sales strategy. As a key member of the global leadership team, you will collaborate closely with Product Management, Business Development, Operations, Finance, and regional leaders, and you will represent Hitachi Energy’s Grid and Power Quality Solutions and Service business in senior customer engagements, industry forums, and strategic partnerships, positioning the organization as a trusted technology leader.
How you’ll make an impact
- Lead the development and execution of the global commercial strategy for the GPQSS business, establishing a clear long‑term vision while translating it into actionable, country‑level and segment‑specific sales plans that enable consistent, scalable growth worldwide.
- Define and own the global sales ambition, including revenue, margin, and market‑expansion targets, ensuring that sales objectives are not only aligned with the Business Unit’s Marketing & Sales strategy but also underpinned by data‑driven insights, competitive positioning, and emerging customer trends.
- Drive profitable growth across all regions by orchestrating a unified go‑to‑market approach, strengthening pipeline quality, enhancing forecasting precision, and ensuring disciplined commercial performance management across a complex matrix structure.
- Elevate the global market presence of Hitachi Energy’s Grid and Power Quality Solutions & Services, positioning the portfolio as the industry benchmark through targeted market intelligence, differentiated value propositions, and thought‑leadership activities that reinforce our reputation as a trusted technology leader.
- Lead, inspire, and develop high‑performing global sales and marketing teams, embedding a culture of accountability, collaboration, and commercial excellence while equipping teams with the tools, training, and structures they need to execute at scale.
- Act as a strategic partner to key internal stakeholders, including Product Management, Business Development, Operations, Finance, and regional leadership, ensuring tight alignment between commercial strategy, product roadmap priorities, delivery capabilities, and business performance objectives.
- Represent the business at the highest levels in customer and industry engagements, building and nurturing executive relationships, leading negotiations, and influencing industry bodies, strategic alliances, and ecosystem partners to advance Hitachi Energy’s leadership in grid integration and power quality.
- Drive cross‑functional alignment to accelerate market penetration, ensuring seamless coordination between sales, marketing, tendering, service, and operations to maximize win rates, optimize pricing strategies, and enhance customer value across the lifecycle.
- Oversee commercial governance frameworks and performance metrics, ensuring that global sales activities are executed consistently, ethically, and efficiently, and that rigorous performance tracking supports continuous improvement and strategic agility.
- Champion innovation and market‑back insights, feeding customer, competitor, and market intelligence into the organization to shape future product strategies, guide investment decisions, and identify new growth opportunities across mature and emerging markets.
Your background
- 15+ years of progressive commercial leadership experience, including executive responsibility in a multinational, matrixed industrial or technology driven environment.
- Proven system sales track record in the energy sector
- Experience in leading global sales organizations and delivering topline growth and margin improvements.
- Strategic mindset combined with operational discipline.
- Executive presence, negotiation expertise, and the ability to influence at the highest levels internally and externally.
- Experience driving customer-centric innovation and commercial excellence across multiple geographies.
- Ability to lead through complexity, ambiguity, and large-scale change.
