To strengthen our team at the Visp, Switzerland location, we are currently looking for an Operator / Operations Support Day Shift, a dedicated, reliable, and team-oriented personality who will contribute significantly to safe and efficient production together with us.
In this role, you will work both in the control room and directly in our production facilities, helping to ensure that our processes run stably, safely, and with high quality at all times. This role offers you the opportunity to develop professionally, learn new technologies, and actively contribute to strengthening our safety and quality culture.
Main tasks and responsibilities:
Alternating work in the control room and in the production facilities of a department with several plant sections
Monitoring ongoing production in the control room, including control and analysis of process parameters
Detecting, resolving, and escalating disturbances as well as safely switching production equipment on and off according to specifications
Flexible work in the assigned plants on site as well as support during changeover and maintenance work
Independent execution, logging, and documentation of workflows and rounds according to specification documents
Work with various IT systems (Outlook, Excel, Word, SAP, and process control systems)
Qualifications and experience:
High commitment to strengthening and adhering to the safety culture
Experience as an operator in chemical production or service companies and handling process control systems is advantageous
(Career changers are welcome)
Completed training as a plant and apparatus builder (specializing in pipe construction) or an equivalent technical education
Manual skills as well as relevant professional experience
Interest and willingness to learn new technologies and continuously further your education
Strong customer orientation and enjoyment of innovative problem solving
Committed, flexible, and independent working style combined with high reliability
Very good German skills in spoken and written form, as work instructions, safety regulations, and internal communication are conducted in German
Team-oriented, resilient, and responsible
