The Logistics Department ensures the timely supply of the Bern Cantonal Police with materials, equipment, and devices. It guarantees the readiness of operational materials and ensures that the necessary resources are available in perfect condition at all locations at all times.
Your Tasks
- Ensuring warehouse management throughout the canton of Bern, including inventory management, goods receipt and quality control, as well as replenishment organization
- Ensuring the operational readiness of all materials and equipment at various locations (provision, reconditioning, maintenance, and repair coordination)
- Logistical support for operational forces during security services and internal events
- Operation-related material coordination for security service units during deployments and training sequences
- Organization, setup and dismantling, as well as technical support of audio and video systems at internal events
- Taking on on-call duties in the Logistics Department
Your Profile
- Completed vocational training, ideally in logistics, technology, or crafts (e.g., logistics specialist EFZ or equivalent)
- Professional experience in warehouse management as well as good SAP knowledge (inventory management, material master data, serial numbers, expiration dates, etc.)
- Technical understanding in handling equipment and devices (including audio/video systems) as well as affinity for safe handling of weapons and ammunition
- Identification with the values of the Bern Cantonal Police: "aschtändig", "gwüssehaft", "mitenang", "mit Reschpäkt", "präzis" and "mit Härzbluet"
- Independent, structured, and resilient personality with a high service orientation and willingness to work irregular hours and on-call duty
- Driver's license category B; additional categories (C/C1) and forklift license are advantageous
