It manages acute situations, notably through the emergency services of the Trois-Chêne Hospital, age-related specific problems, medical rehabilitation, and palliative care.
Job Description
The position is aimed at a speech therapist who wishes to obtain the concordat number to practice with adults.
To strengthen its multidisciplinary team, the Trois-Chêne Hospital of the Department of Rehabilitation and Geriatrics is looking for a speech therapist interested in the issues of adult patients presenting complex somatic pathologies.
You will be responsible for conducting assessment evaluations and speech therapy follow-ups mainly in the field of swallowing disorders with geriatric patients presenting somatic or neurodegenerative pathologies. Depending on the needs of the individuals cared for, you will carry out assessments and follow-ups for language, speech, and voice disorders. For swallowing, you work with care teams to advise and implement necessary adjustments. To enrich your experience, you may assist the radiologist during videofluoroscopy examinations. For language, speech, and voice, your evaluations aim to describe and characterize the observed disorders, their diagnostic classification, as well as preserved abilities.
You ensure the transmission of personalized advice to patients and their relatives.
You actively participate in interdisciplinary exchanges with other therapists, care teams, and medical staff.
Qualifications
You hold a Master’s degree in speech therapy and the right to practice in the canton of Geneva.
You have experience in speech therapy with various adult patient populations, neurological and geriatric, with knowledge in aphasiology, dysarthria, dysphonia, and dysphagia.
You do not yet meet the conditions to obtain a concordat number.
You are able to integrate into a multidisciplinary team and have good organizational skills and priority management.
You are a rigorous, methodical person with the ability to synthesize.
