Job Description
Role purpose
- Ensure that the technical documentation reflects the actual condition of the plants to preserve the integrity and value of the assets.
- Ensure regulatory compliance of the technical documentation.
- Actively participate in the development and implementation of standards that ensure the safety, reliability, and efficiency of the plants.
Accountabilities
- 2D/3D drawing
- Creation, correction, updating, and management of P&ID diagrams for plants and infrastructure.
- Mechanical 3D modeling and workshop drawings.
- Collaboration
- Coordination with internal (labs, workshops, operations) and external (engineering offices, suppliers) stakeholders.
- Support during audits and inspections within the scope of expertise.
- Participation in project meetings.
- Technical documentation
- Management of technical plant documentation in the DMS.
- Review and acceptance of plant documentation in the DMS as part of CAPEX projects and MOCs through on-site audits.
- Updating master data of technical locations in SAP PM.
- Technical warehouse
- Management of spare parts/equipment and their documentation - digital and physical in the warehouse.
- Standards:
- Implementation of the ENGEX initiative (e.g., assembly of flange connections, overfill protection, pressure relief) in site-specific standards in collaboration with competent personnel.
- Ensure compliance with existing guidelines and procedures through audits and training.
Qualifications
- Technical education and training (mechanical engineering, process engineering, chemistry)
- At least 3-5 years of experience in the chemical or pharmaceutical industry
- Experience with SAP PM or similar maintenance management systems
- Solid CAD skills (Microstation, Fusion 360, AutoCAD)
- Knowledge in plant construction and process engineering
- Comprehensive knowledge of P&ID (Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams)
- Very good knowledge of applicable standards in the chemical industry (e.g., ATEX directive, machinery directive, pressure equipment directive, declaration of conformity, legal requirements of Swiss authorities).
- Solution-oriented thinking, team and communication skills
- Language skills: German (business fluent), English (good knowledge), French (advantageous)
