Your Tasks
The identification service treatment collects and maintains data according to legal regulations that serve to identify persons. As an employee in this area, you provide an important service for the police and the judiciary.
During data collection, depending on the assignment, you take fingerprints and buccal swabs from the persons assigned to you, create wanted photos, and record physical characteristics.
In the administrative part of your tasks, you manage the collected data and their deletion deadlines. You handle national and international identity verifications, perform administrative tasks, and provide information by phone.
Depending on the operation, you assist with external personal checks and, after training, you will also perform on-call duty.
Your Profile
For this exciting and unusual position in a small and well-coordinated team, we are looking for
- a reliable and flexible personality (at least 30 years old) with a professional qualification and several years of professional experience in dealing with people
- someone who is used to precise work and working with IT and also has technical know-how in photography
- a person with a confident appearance. The sometimes difficult contacts with incarcerated and sometimes also unruly persons of various nationalities require high mental and physical resilience, including ensuring one’s own safety (self-protection), and good assertiveness
- a new colleague with very good knowledge of the German language as well as good spoken French skills. The workplace can be either Bern or Biel. Additional foreign language skills are an advantage
If you also have organizational skills and are open to new things, then you might be the right person for this position.
