The Social Region Olten provides services in the field of statutory social work for the city of Olten as well as for the municipalities of Trimbach, Winznau, Wisen and Hauenstein-Ifenthal.

For the team leadership in regular social assistance / asylum social assistance, we are looking for a committed and experienced professional as a Social Worker Social Assistance with Team Leadership Function (at least 60%) by agreement.

About us:

The Social Region Olten provides financial aid and social work support for people who require economic social assistance or when a guardianship is established due to a need for protection. Statutory social work is carried out on the basis of the cantonal social law (social assistance) or on the basis of the Civil Code (guardianships). The values of social work form the basis for cooperation with clients.

Tasks

Your tasks in social work

• Statutory social work according to the cantonal social law (social assistance)
• Support for people in vulnerable life situations and creation of methodical help planning
• Clarification of financial claims and benefits; calculation and payment of maintenance and other (needs-based) benefits
• Reporting to the responsible authority as well as professional case documentation
• Close cooperation with specialist agencies, authorities, insurance companies and other third parties

Your tasks in team leadership

• You support employees with complex case developments and professional questions
• Together with your team, you ensure high-quality, effective and equitable advice
• You work closely with the social welfare office management and support the development of processes and professional standards

Expectations

• Tertiary degree in social work or a related discipline
• You bring solid professional experience in economic social assistance
• You want to take the first professional step into a leadership role
• You convince through clarity, reliability and communication skills
