At Pictet, we are shaping the future of banking by leveraging AI and GenAI technologies at scale. We are seeking an AI Engineering Manager to join our AI Centre of Excellence within Pictet’s Tech division. This team sits at the core of Pictet’s bold ambition to deploy AI and GenAI capabilities throughout the Group, not only by delivering end-to-end AI initiatives, but also by enabling the rest of the organisation to leverage this new technology. Combining product and strategic vision with hands-on execution, we deliver enterprise-ready solutions. As an AI Engineering Manager, you will work closely with the Head of the AI Centre of Excellence, owning key client relationships, and overseeing internal projects in collaboration with business lines and stakeholders across the Group. You will ensure the quality and timely delivery of these projects while fostering a high-performance team environment, empowering team members to innovate and excel.
Your role
- Client and AI Thought Leadership: Build trust-based relationships with internal stakeholders to effectively discuss the landscape of AI/GenAI opportunities, steer roadmaps and projects, by fostering a better understanding and adoption of AI.
- Project Oversight: Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of AI/GenAI projects, including setting timelines, assigning tasks, and monitoring progress to ensure alignment with business objectives.
- Technical Leadership: Provide technical direction and support to team members, ensuring adherence to best practices and enterprise design principles throughout AI/GenAI project lifecycles.
- Hands-On Attitude: Actively engage in development tasks and jump into action when assistance is needed.
- Security Mindset: Champion a strong security mindset within the team, ensuring all development activities adhere to security best practices. Proactively identify potential security vulnerabilities and advocate for continuous enhancements in internal practices and controls.
- Mentorship: Act as a mentor for junior team members, promoting their growth and enhancing their technical competencies within the organisation.
Your profile
- Master's degree in Computer Science, Communication Systems, Engineering, Physics or a related field, or qualification deemed equivalent.
- Demonstrated experience in AI consulting or AI product management in an enterprise setting (minimum 2 years), with a successful track record of delivering end-to-end AI and GenAI projects in client-facing roles.
- Proven track record of hands-on AI and GenAI solution development and delivery, with a strong understanding of industry-standard frameworks and libraries.
- Strong technical expertise and deep understanding of software engineering best practices, with a particular emphasis on Python. Highly proficient in designing and developing scalable backend API solutions.
- Proven ability to lead and inspire a team, fostering collaboration and a positive team culture.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of conveying complex ideas clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Fluent in both French and English.
- Swiss residency or willingness to relocate for the role.
