About the job
The Manufacturing Methodology Engineer plays a central role at the interface between project teams, assembly, and the supply chain. He/she provides technical expertise in managing and controlling costs and deadlines per project for the Supply Chain phase. The goal is the satisfaction of internal customers (project teams) and consequently, the satisfaction of end customers.
Main Responsibilities
- Ensure the feasibility of parts to be manufactured (process, materials, treatments, tolerances) in terms of quality, deadlines, and costs.
- Provide supply chain expertise to project teams during the design phase to anticipate quality, deadline, and cost risks.
- Coordinate project time milestones with the supply chain.
- Manage bill of materials and requirements in the ERP (MCO).
- Choose manufacturing processes according to the type of part.
- Assist in make or buy decision-making.
- Ensure the creation of operational ranges.
- Monitor budgets concerning critical parts.
- Track supply chain priorities and bottlenecks in collaboration with partner teams.
- Provide support in handling certain Non-Conformities.
- Provide technical expertise regarding internal and external manufacturing processes.
- Participate in improving Supply Chain processes.
Profile
- Initial training: Technical CFC in mechanics or electrotechnics (or equivalent training)
- Additional higher education: Bachelor HES, ES Technician, Production Expert Certificate or Federal Process Agent Certificate
- Very good knowledge of mechanics and machining and/or electrotechnics (minimum 3 years in a similar industry)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, with particular attention to Excel
- Previous expertise in using an ERP and a PLM (SAP, Inventor, Vault = advantage)
- Fluency in French and English; knowledge of German is an asset
