Specialist in Professional and Quality Issues 80 - 90%
The Cantonal Social Office performs diverse, controlling, and operational tasks in social assistance, social insurance, social services, and the asylum sector. Since January 2024, it has been responsible for implementing the Self-Determination Act. This act creates more freedom for people with disabilities in choosing support services in the form of advice, care, and accompaniment. More information can be found at www.zh.ch/sebe.
The Social Services Department is responsible for specialized services for people with support needs. The Professional and Quality Issues team handles tasks related to the quality of care and accompaniment services for people with disabilities.
Due to retirement, we are looking to complement our team as of February 1, 2026, or by agreement, for a Specialist in Professional and Quality Issues 80 - 90%.
The Social Services Department is responsible for specialized services for people with support needs. The Professional and Quality Issues team handles tasks related to the quality of care and accompaniment services for people with disabilities.

The position
- You contribute to the implementation of the SEBE system in a varied, project- and team-oriented environment.
- You check the fulfillment of the approval requirements for social institutions according to IFEG.
- You plan and conduct professional audits in social institutions and prepare the audit reports.
- You are involved in handling complaint reports and conduct supervisory visits in social institutions in coordination with the responsible district councils.
- You ensure that contracts between people with disabilities and service providers are fair and correctly formulated.
- You work project-based, team-oriented, and engage in diverse professional exchanges with internal and external bodies.
- Based on your interests and skills, your work will have thematic focuses.
Your profile
- It is natural for you that the needs of people with disabilities are always the focus of your work.
- You are a committed and team-oriented personality with a pedagogical or psychiatric education (Bachelor).
- Ideally, you have experience working with people with disabilities.
- You have strong analytical skills and very good written competencies.
- You think in networks and act in administrative procedures in a service-, practice-, and solution-oriented manner.
- You are interested in trends and developments related to services for people with disabilities.
