About the job
We are looking for a chef (100%) who supports our location in Sissach in the daily kitchen routine with heart, overview, and attention to detail, and who is responsible for the kitchen on site.
The Bloomell Coffeehouse is known for its high-quality breakfast and brunch offerings, which we prepare daily at the front with great passion and quality awareness according to clearly defined recipes and standards. Our location is in the historic "Cheesmeyer" building, the oldest former department store in the canton of Baselland, directly at the train station and the shopping mile of Sissach.
What is especially important to us: We are looking for a personality who enjoys working at the front kitchen and values direct contact with our guests. We work hand in hand here – kitchen and service are closely connected. Therefore, we also expect willingness to assist in service or support as a barista if needed.
YOUR TASKS
- Responsibility for the organization and smooth operation of the kitchen
- Preparation and presentation of breakfast and brunch dishes according to our recipes and standards
- Leadership and support of the kitchen team
- Ensuring compliance with quality, hygiene, and safety regulations
- Ordering, goods receipt, and inventory management according to the first-in-first-out principle (FIFO)
- Willingness to assist in service or as a barista if needed
YOUR PROFILE
- Completed basic training as a chef EFZ or comparable qualification
- Several years of experience in the kitchen, ideally in breakfast, brunch, or daytime operation
- Enjoyment of fresh, high-quality products and clean work processes
- Openness to guest contact and a lively front kitchen
- Leadership skills, independence, and organizational talent
- Resilience, teamwork, and flexibility
- Digital affinity; our processes and tools are digitally supported
- Weekends and holidays are our brunch rush hours
