The trainee program allows you to dive into three different departments and build your know-how. Take on responsibility in new projects every six months and bring innovative solution proposals.

The optimal start for your professional future! 💯 The traineeship starts on April 1, 2026, and is limited to 18 months with the option of permanent employment.

Tasks & Responsibilities

• Gain insights into the various business areas from power generation, through the grid sector, to energy trading & sales.
• Work on operational and/or strategic tasks in your assignments.
• Take responsibility from day one in ongoing projects and actively contribute to changes.
• Your first assignment starts in Data & Analytics within Trading & Sales, where you:
• support the internal Data & Analytics community (with almost 300 members), whether through organizing events, managing the champions network, or through your own new ideas,
• further develop and improve the onboarding and user experience on the new Data & Analytics platform (e.g., by collecting user feedback or sharing learning nuggets),
• contribute to data literacy initiatives, for example through e-learnings or hands-on learning sessions.
• You can choose your second and third assignments according to your preferences within the Axpo Group (including our subsidiary CKW). Your mentor will gladly support you.

Profile & Requirements

• Master's degree 🎓 in economics, psychology, social sciences, or data science (degree obtained within the last two years)
• Know-how of change management and project management frameworks, initial experience with data analysis is a plus
• First professional experience as an intern or working student
• Ability to communicate complex topics clearly and tell compelling stories
• Ability to approach problems structurally, keep an overview of projects, and bring various stakeholders together
• Fluent in German and English

About the Team

You will be part of the 19th trainee generation. Meet at various events, whether lunch or visits to power plants. You work in an international, open, and collaborative working atmosphere and make a valuable contribution to the future.
