The Department of Psychiatry (DP) of the CHUV is looking for a chief resident or deputy chief resident with a workload between 80% and 100% to join the Vaud Anorexia Bulimia Center (abC) and strengthen its Outpatient Unit and Day Center in Lausanne. The ideal start date is June 1, 2026, or to be agreed upon.
Context
The University Hospital of Vaud (CHUV) is one of the five Swiss university hospitals. In collaboration with the Faculty of Biology and Medicine of the University of Lausanne and EPFL, it plays a leading role in medical care, research, and education.
The Vaud Anorexia Bulimia Center (abC) is a specialized care network resulting from a collaboration between CHUV and the Northern Vaud Hospital Institutions (eHnv), under the aegis of the Department of Health and Social Action (DSAS).
The abC offers comprehensive and personalized care for eating disorders (ED), integrating psychological, physical, nutritional, and social dimensions. The center brings together about fifty professionals (psychiatrists, child psychiatrists, psychologists, internists, nutritionists, nurses, dietitians, physiotherapists, and social workers) working in close interdisciplinary collaboration.
Mission
- You ensure the psychiatric and psychotherapeutic evaluation and treatment of adult patients suffering from eating disorders

- You write or supervise the writing of evaluation reports, medical documents, and letters intended for external bodies (insurance, justice, etc.)
- You participate in internal clinical teaching and research activities of the abC and, depending on availability, in the training activities of the Liaison Psychiatry Service (PLI-CHUV) and the Department of Psychiatry of CHUV.
Profile
- You hold the FMH specialist title in psychiatry and psychotherapy, or are in the process of obtaining it (MEBEKO recognition required for foreign diplomas), regardless of therapeutic orientation
- You have clinical experience in adult psychiatry, ideally in the field of eating disorders and/or liaison psychiatry
- You have an interest in group therapeutic work and outpatient follow-up
- You demonstrate patience, dynamism, empathy, and a good sense of collaboration
- You possess good analytical skills, self-reflection, communication, and interdisciplinary work abilities.
- You master spoken and written French (minimum level C1).
