Social Worker Counseling for Addiction

On behalf of the municipalities, the Cantonal Office of Social Services provides social and personal assistance for dependent persons. Furthermore, it supports people in connection with access to economic social assistance. For this purpose, it operates eight regional social services in the canton’s regions.
The Social Service for Addiction Issues is a specialized counseling center within the Regional Social Service Chur/Plessur/Plaun. The Regional Social Service is responsible for 11 municipalities with 67,000 inhabitants.
For May 1, 2026 or by agreement, we are looking for a social worker for counseling on addiction issues.
- Counsel individuals with addiction problems and their families
- Advise individuals and families on social issues in a solution- and resource-oriented manner
- Ensure access to social insurance benefits as well as economic social assistance
- Collaborate with social authorities and specialized offices
- Manage additional diverse, interesting, and highly responsible activities
- Completed education as a social worker BSc/SAS or diploma from a comparable training
- Enjoy working with people from different social backgrounds and addiction issues
- Counseling competence as well as specialized knowledge in addiction counseling, social assistance law, and the social insurance sector
- Enjoy contact, ability to handle pressure and work in a team, good communication, organizational and administrative skills
- Ideally good knowledge of foreign languages
- Independent and solution-oriented working style
