Your Mission
- You take overall responsibility for the main kitchen of the Park Hotel Vitznau – including Grill Restaurant, Lake Terrace, Room Service, and Bar
- You lead a kitchen team that comprises between 14 and 22 employees depending on the season and ensure a motivating work environment
- You maintain collaboration with the breakfast restaurant and the neuro-rehabilitation clinic
- You develop new, innovative dishes, creatively using high-quality products such as meat, fish, and seasonal ingredients
- You continuously recruit, coach, and develop employees
- You organize kitchen operations efficiently: duty and shift schedules, station assignments, optimized workflows, and high standards
- You manage purchasing, maintain contact with suppliers, while keeping quality and costs in view
- You communicate directly with our guests and actively strengthen their connection to the house
- You work closely with the Executive Chef, Sous-Chef, and hotel management, participate in meetings, and carry budget responsibility
Your Skills
- You have completed chef training and have several years of professional experience, ideally in a leadership position and 5-star hospitality
- You are passionate about grill and fire techniques, large cuts of meat, and fish. Experience with dry aging, charcoal & co. is a plus
- You set high quality standards, have a sense for aesthetics and taste, and love details
- You convince with leadership qualities: motivate, coach, are a true team player, but also clear and decisive
- You know the requirements of Forbes Travel Guide, Leading Hotels of the World, and similar international standards
- You are open to feedback, promote personal responsibility, communicate clearly, and support the development of your team
- You are resilient, well organized, and flexible
- You speak fluent German and English
- You form a passionate host team with the F&B team and restaurant managers that always communicates at eye level and respectfully
